A HISTORIC YORKSHIRE COUNTRY HOME

A piece of history

This country home stands in an area of great historic importance. We have worked carefully with our clients and their architects to create a garden design that respects the past but with a contemporary, timeless aesthetic.

A focal point

The focal point of the southern lawn is the main terrace. A circular motif that is replicated around the gardens, begins in the water feature and can also be seen in the elegant curved steps, leading down to the main lawn.

Complimenting the design of the house

To the west of the house is the orangery lawn. These gardens are more formal and the design replicates some of the forms seen in the architecture of the house. The low clipped hedges frame the focal points that stretch across the gardens.

Take a tour of the garden

Space for an active family

A leisure suite has been designed to allow space to swim, exercise and relax, but also to entertain guests with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.

Nearby is a subtle water feature which draws the eye to the streamside walk that begins a few metres away.
